TLG Honors The Passing of Scouts in Iowa Tornado
June 12, 2008

Our hearts go out to the families who lost their sons on Wednesday night in the tragic tornado that hit a Boy Scout camp in Des Moines, Iowa. The amount of bravery those young men exhibited in the face of danger is amazing. Having been a Scout in my childhood and having attended many camps, this really hits home. The Boy Scouts of America is an amazing organization for helping young men become responsible, mature, and helpful citizens of our great Country. Please take a moment to think about their families. PLease also take a moment to wish for the speedy recovery of those who were injured and for the recovery of The Boy Scouts of America as they mourn the loss of 4 great scouts.
Please also take a moment to remind yourself that weather does not take into account who you are, what you have, or where you are. Sometimes storms hit without any warning - much like the storm that struck Little Sioux Scout Ranch. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and to be prepared to the best of your ability.
