Politics and uStream.tv
April 17, 2008

In recent years politicians have been reaching out to us via the internet. They create websites for us to congregate to in order to get their message out. Many of these website also offer ways for us to conveniently donate to a political campaign. (Sure is better then having someone knock on your door!)
When a politician has a rally, town hall meeting, or just takes a stroll around town. Many of us miss out on such events. How many time have you wanted to speak the candidate? We all have questions about education, crime, and taxes (Just to keep the list short).
A free online video streaming service known as Ustream.tv is now bring the candidate to you. Allowing the viewer to take part in a virtual town hall meeting. United States Senators and Presidential hopefuls John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton all are currently using Ustream during their bids for the 2008 Presidential Election.
Ustream.tv is not only being used by political leaders in the States. Brian Paddick who is running for the office of Mayor in London England has just recently set up his very own Ustream page. He will be streaming live April 18th 2008 at 7:30pm GMT (2:30pm New York EST). Paddick is the UK’s first political Ustreamer and I am certain he will not be the last!
