MobileMe: How to set up your email account manually!

Looking to set up your MobieMe email account manually?

The following settings below should also work with mail clients that support Microsoft Exchange Server. (Windows and Linux)

1. Lets get started!

Launch your Apple Mail client and go to Preferences and add a new account. Input your Full name, Full Email Address and Password then click continue.

2. Incoming Mail Server:

Your account type will be Exchange. The description I had chosen for this example was mail.me.com. You can however give it any name you desire. The Incoming Mail server is mail.me.com. The User Name is your full email address and password. The Outlook Web Access Server is mail.me.com. Click continue!

3. Outgoing Mail Server:

The description I had chosen in this example was smtp.me.com. You can however give it any name you desire. Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.me.com (tick the box) use only this server.

Tick the “Use Authentication” box. Use your Full User Name and password again as your login credentials. Click continue!

4. We are almost finished!

Once finished you will see your Account Summary. If everything looks similar to the image below. You should be good to go. Make sure you tick the box “Take account online” and then click create.
