a bit about Wirelesspacket..

At the end of the day I am just a Geek! I have been using a computer ever since I was 12 year old. So, I would have to say that the computer is a huge part of my life. I remember surfing the internet back in the day with my Netcom account over dial-up. What a long time ago it seems.

I do love to use gadgets, anything from the iPhone to the latest and greatest USB thumb drive holding gigs of information. HDTV’s, Audio equipment (My Blue Snowball microphone rocks). Playing video games like Call of Duty 4, Halo 3 or even playing a nice round of golf on Wii Sports!

Tinkering with Linux, throwing any distribution I can find into VMware Fusion for the Mac. I enjoy learning new ways to keep my self secure on the Internet. Reading about the latest and greatest hardware and software developers have to offer. Keeping up with my huge list of daily RSS feeds with NetNewsWire.

Enjoying a good drama on the BBC, Ashes to Ashes was amazing last season! Reading about motorsports, checking out the latest cars that are hitting the roadways. (Top Gear FTW) Keeping up with my friends activities via Twitter, Facebook and FriendFeed. Hanging out on the IRC for hours on end!

My degree if anyone cares to know is in Computer Networking and Security. (Fun)

Oh and in my spare time I am in the search for the meaning of life! (42)

a bit about Dano..

I go by Dano. I surf around the interwebs looking for new and exciting stuff happening in the “Web 2.0″ world. Whatever Web 2.0 means. I’ve been hooked on the internet since I was about 10 when the old family desktop got dial up. Ahh those where the days. I’ve spend most of those beginning years learning web design and still dabble a little in it today.

I’m a Microsoft Windows guy. And it seems sometimes they we are getting fewer and fewer and on the interwebs. I like vista. I run it. Has no problems for me. And it looks all shiny too. My AT&T Windows mobile based phone gets a workout from all the twitter texting I receive and send.

There is also a part of my life that is consumed by the site ustream.tv . I adore this site. I spend late night hours watching people. That is my television (that and hulu.com). I stream video through ustream.tv mostly on weekends. Thats also opened me up to the world of IRC. I have my own room with a bot and everything. Pretty impressive I know.
