George Carlin: a legend has passed!
June 23, 2008

GEORGE CARLIN (1937-2008)
It saddens me to inform you all that comedian actor George Carlin has passed. George was 71 years old. He has brought us many years of laughter. He will be missed!
Here is the complete story via the Los Angeles Times.

R.I.P George Carlin.. You will be Miss’d
Saw him record the “Complaints and Grievances” HBO special in 2001 at the Beacon Theater. He was great! As one of my favorite comics, he will be missed!
I first heard the comedy of George Carlin while I was in grade school…”Class Clown” — I think I laughed and giggled for so long that I nearly crapped my pants! LOL
I saw him live at the Circle Star Theater in Concorde, CA for my 16th birthday present…almost passed out from a lack of oxygen — couldn’t breath and laugh at the same time ALL night ya know!
His classic “The 7 words you can never say on television,” brought me and all my friends to histerics as we huddled in the corner of the garage, out of earshot of my parents and learned those words well. (Of course all have been said on TV since then…and much more, right?)
George…you were known to the world as a comedian’s comedian; and as a nasty, cantancerous old fart to my folks…but I still loved your work.
Rest in peace GC…Rest in peace.
