iVPN: Think you need OS X server to run a VPN? Think again!

June 12, 2008

iVPN takes advantage of the VPN server installed within Mac OS X. You can set up your VPN server using the PPTP or L2TP protocols. The gui is extremely easy to use. Just install it onto your system and away you go.

If you have a need for a VPN server at home this could be an excellent option for you.

If you need a bit of help setting up iVPN. Check out this .PDF Help Document.

*When running a VPN server on your network there will be a need for port forwarding. Doing so may put the computers on your network at risk for potential unknown security vulnerabilities.

*Please do this at your own risk!

Rick Rolling is OUT - Blaze Rolling is IN

June 10, 2008

Ok, so we have all been Rick Rolled before, right? You know, “Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down…” Well it seems that the internet has grown tired of Rick Rolling - It’s time to give it up. I believe I have found the next “Roller”.

Ever heard of Denny Blaze - a.k.a “The Average Homeboy”? If you haven’t here is your chance to learn about him and also get in on the beginning of the next “viral roll”. Denny Blaze tried to get a record deal back in the 80’s by making a demo reel of his mad rapping skills. Subsequently, this tape was found by an MTV employee in an old box. The tape was 17 years old. Denny Blaze - The Average Homeboy never got that big record contract, like Rick Astley did…pshhh.

It is time to make history. Let’s change the game and put Denny Blaze in the spotlight. It’s time to BLAZE ROLL everyone. Nobody is safe. Not even your grandma. There is much Blaze Rolling to accomplish. Why are you just sitting there!!! Grab your link below and let the viral wave begin. Ill see you on the other side, with a follow up post to come at 500,000 views. Have fun. Let the Blaze Rolling Begin.

I would like to thank DrewOlanoff, Dano, Mdelfs, Dr.Soos, The Tuesday Night Tech Family, and the rest of ya that are backing this new movement.

Man, this guy can rap his @ss off!! Amazing skills.

I Miss John Candy

June 2, 2008

It is so sad that we have lost so many great comedians, especially John Candy. John put out some of the funniest films during his prime in the late 80’s. Some of my favorites are “Uncle Buck”, “Who’s Harry Crumb?”, “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles”, “Spaceballs” and “The Great Outdoors”. I recently found some snippets on Youtube that I saved in my favorites, and thought that I would share some of John’s comedic genius and great delivery with you. It’s very sad that he never was really happy with himself.

John - Thanks for the laughs. Miss ya so much man and I wish you were still here.

The Lost Boys - A Trip Back To My Childhood

May 28, 2008

It was during a sleepover party in 1987, at Jaime Segura’s house, that I was introduced to what would become one of my favorite movies: The Lost Boys. I was 10 years old and was a fan of Nintendo, skateboarding, Def Leppard, and scary movies. I was a typical kid of the 80’s and I was damn proud of it. I often find myself, on a day like today, wishing I could go back to those times: summers that lasted forever, the way popsicles tasted so good, the sounds of awesome music, the WWF and Hulk Hogan, and some of the best movies ever made.

I found this video mashup of different scenes from The Lost Boys edited to the song, “Cry Little Sister” by G.Tom Mac. This definitely took me back

This is what makes the internet so awesome! I was able to relive a couple of these awesome childhood memories and escape from the b.s. of today via streaming video

I also understand that there is a second Lost Boys - The Tribe, coming out soon. I just don’t know if they will be able to pull it off without Jason Patric, Keifer Sutherland, and the rest of the original cast. Times change…people change…priorities change…I am glad to read that Corey Haim WILL be featured in the film. I was really let down when I read that he was not going to be featured in the film. I mean seriously, how could you make a second installment of The Lost Boys without both of the Coreys? Turns out that is not the case, and Haim - “Sam” will be present and accounted for in the film.

Here is the trailer for The Lost Boys 2 - The Tribe: Straight to DVD & Blu-Ray 7.29.08

Being a die-hard fan of the franchise, I owe it to myself to see what The Tribe is all about. Until then I will always have the original to fall back on, when I need to escape back to those lost days as a kid of the 80’s. It has been over 21 years since the first movie came out! Damn, I’m getting old. To hell with getting old, it’s all about your frame of mind. I gotta get back to my time machine and listen to this kick ass song one more time…care to join me? I promise I won’t “VAMP OUT” on you.

Steve Ballmer Gets Egged in Budapest, Hungary

May 19, 2008

Steve Ballmer, microsoft’s pitbull, was attacked by an angry student at a university in Budapest, Hungary. Not sure what this dude is saying, but he was mad enough to throw some eggs at the head of Ballmer. Sounds something like, “Give Hungary 45 million dollars back!” Anyways view the video and see for yourself.

New Media Will Take Over Old Media…Or Not?

May 17, 2008

The fall of old media is upon us very soon. The fall of it will be very great and for some, too soon. Or will it?

For the past few years, I have been convinced that the rise of podcasts, social networks, live streaming video, and other web technologies will ultimately seal the death of “old media” such as radio and television due to the fact that these old Read more
